Did you know that Katherine has a passion for teaching children how to read? Katherine has been spent the last three years taking courses related to the Science of Reading, dyslexia, and the S.P.I.R.E. program, which is a considered to be a credible, multi -sensory approach, that is a research-based Orton - Gillingham reading program. Katherine enjoys using S.P.I.R.E. because she feels it marries her background as a speech - language pathologist emphasizing all the components of language required for students to be successful with reading.
